NKU Joining MIVA

The MIVA commissioner, executive council, and member school representatives have voted that the Northern Kentucky University men’s volleyball program will be welcomed into the MIVA effective July 1, 2025. Competition for Northern Kentucky in the MIVA will begin in the 2026 men’s volleyball season.

The Olympics always have a way of producing unlikely stars, but we’ve rarely had one quite like Taylor Averill. The middle blocker helped USA Volleyball men’s team bring home a bronze medal after finishing in tenth place at the previous Olympics.

US Men Win 2024 Final 6 Gold

The young U.S. Men’s National Team competing at the NORCECA Final Six won a second straight gold medal at the tournament, beating Canada 3-1 (25-19, 17-25,  25-20, 25-22) on Sunday in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada.  The U.S. Men finished the tournament at 5-1.

Elms College Athletic Director Rob Southall announced this week that Brandon Hapgood will be the College’s new Head Coach for Men’s and Women’s Volleyball.
