Nominations for the 2025 AVCA Phenom Watch List and 2025 AVCA All-America Watch List are now open! Please submit nominations via the form linked on this page. The nomination requirements for each Watch List are listed below.
The 2025 AVCA Phenom and All-America Watch Lists will be published on August 25, 2025.
AVCA Phenom Watch List Requirements
The requirements for having an athlete on the AVCA Phenom Watch List are: the student-athlete must be an underclassmen (2027, 2028, and 2029 grad years in the Fall of 2025) who has received some significant form of external recognition for their outstanding volleyball play such as, but not limited to: All-District, All-Region, All-State, PrepVolleyball Ranking List, JVA Watchlist, PrepDig Watchlist, USAV NTDP or HP, etc., AND the student-athlete’s high school head coach, club coach, or club director must be an active AVCA member.
Please note that if a nomination does not include the required Significant Awards or Achievements, the athlete will not be eligible for inclusion on the Watch List. Examples of awards that are not accepted as the sole significant qualifying award: academic achievements; achievements in other sports; JV/Freshman/C Team awards; Spirit Awards, etc. Those can all be included on the awards nomination form but please do not ONLY submit that info as the sole qualifying award for each athlete. If a nomination lists the qualifying awards as "N/A" or leaves that section blank, it will also not be accepted.
Uncommitted athletes on the AVCA Phenom Watch List are invited by the AVCA to participate in the Phenom College Preparatory Program.
AVCA All-America Watch List Requirements
The AVCA High School All-America Watch List is for the top Seniors (2026 grad year in the Fall of 2025) who have received some significant form of external recognition for their outstanding volleyball play such as, but not limited to: All-District, All-Region, All-State, PrepVolleyball Ranking List, PrepDig Watchlist, JVA Watchlist, USAV NTDP or HP, etc., AND the student-athlete’s high school head coach must be an active AVCA member. Please note that nominations are accepted from club coaches and club directors, but eligibility is tied to the AVCA membership of the athlete's high school head coach.

AVCA Phenom College Prep Program
For the fourteenth year, the AVCA will host the invitation only Phenom College Preparatory Program. Since the start of the program, 80% of participating athletes end up on college rosters! The 2025 AVCA Phenom College Prep Program will be held on December 18-20, 2025, in Kansas City, Missouri.
The Phenom Program is the only showcase that consistently has 200+ college coaches in attendance. In 2022, 242 college coaches RSVP'd in advance or registered onsite. In 2023, 425 coaches RSVP'd in advance or registered onsite. In 2024, 248 coaches RSVP'd in advance or registered onsite.
