The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) proudly welcomes the Tennessee Volleyball Coaches Association (TVBCA) as its newest Signature Affiliate Partner, marking a significant milestone in the advancement of high school volleyball coaching in Tennessee. With this addition, the AVCA now partners with 12 state-level coaching associations across the country. The agreement, retroactive to July 1, 2025, makes the AVCA the “Official Volleyball Coaching Education Partner of the TVBCA.” Under the terms of the agreement, high school/interscholastic volleyball coaches actively coaching in the state of Tennessee will receive dual membership in the TVBCA and the AVCA upon joining or renewing their membership. “Kudos to TVBCA President Nick Quillen and the Tennessee coaches for understanding the power of community with the establishment of the TVBCA,” said AVCA Director of Membership Kennedy Wells. “Establishing a multi-layered approach to engaging high school volleyball coaches beyond their gym, their school, their district, and their state brings a greater sense of community for high school coaches across the country. Huge thanks for the opportunity to continue to add value to the TVBCA and its member coaches.” “With the growth of the sport of volleyball already imminent, we are ecstatic that we now have a network of coaches in Tennessee who can contribute to that growth as a community,” said TVBCA President Nick Quillen, who is the head girls varsity coach, Loretto High School. “We are thankful for this partnership with the AVCA and look forward to what our relationship can do in our state as well on the national level.” With this announcement, the TVBCA joins a growing network of AVCA Signature Affiliate Partners, including associations in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Greater Houston, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Nebraska, New York, and North Carolina. These partnerships foster a unified coaching community and provide expanded access to professional development, resources, and recognition.
