The United States Marine Corps and the American Volleyball Coaches Association  honored 68 beach programs  with the USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award this season.  The award, initiated in the 1992–93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale.

AVCA Prepping for 2023 Fall Collegiate Beach Championships: Following a highly successful debut in 2022, the AVCA Fall Collegiate Beach Championships will return to Huntsville, Alabama, Nov. 3–5, 2023. Kaitlyn Haller Named Beach Head Coach: Ottawa University Director of Volleyball, Melissa Blessington, is pleased to announce the hiring of Kaitlyn Haller as the new head beach volleyball coach and assistant coach with the indoor program.
