Bell is among eight distinguished individuals chosen for the 2026 class in recognition of their lasting impact on North Carolina high school sports. The NCHSAA highlighted Bell’s extraordinary contributions as a coach, leader, and advocate for student-athletes throughout her career.

A legendary figure in North Carolina volleyball, Bell built one of the state’s most successful programs during her coaching career at Providence High School and Ardrey Kell High School. She finished with an overall record of 841-241, capturing five state championships and 16 conference titles while also contributing as a softball coach at Providence.

Beyond her success on the court, Bell’s influence has extended throughout the volleyball community. As the founder and president of the NCVCA, she has helped elevate the sport across North Carolina by supporting coaches, promoting professional development, advocating for student-athletes, and creating opportunities to recognize excellence within the volleyball profession. Her leadership has played a vital role in strengthening the state’s volleyball landscape for generations of coaches and players.

Bell’s impact has also been recognized nationally. In 2018, she was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association National Coach of the Year, further cementing her legacy as one of the premier coaches in the country.

“Zoe’s Hall of Fame selection is a testament to the tremendous impact she has had on high school volleyball in North Carolina,” said the NCVCA Board of Directors. “Her passion for developing student-athletes, mentoring coaches, and advancing the sport has shaped countless lives and helped establish North Carolina as a national leader in high school volleyball.”

The NCVCA joins coaches, former players, colleagues, and friends across the state in celebrating Bell’s induction into the NCHSAA Hall of Fame and congratulates her on this well-deserved recognition of a remarkable career.
