About Us
A vision to foster community, advocacy, and recognition across North Carolina
NCVBCA History
On July 27, 2016, Coach Brian Rosen of Providence High School in Charlotte, North Carolina had a vision for an association for high school volleyball coaches that would foster community, advocacy, and recognition for student-athletes and coaches across the state.
With the assistance of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), a series of organizational meetings in November, 2016 and January, 2017 led to the formation of a board of directors who subsequently voted to form the North Carolina Volleyball Coaches Association as a 501c3 non profit association.
On June 14, 2017, the North Carolina Volleyball Coaches Association (NCVBCA) was officially recognized by the Secretary of State's office of the state of North Carolina as non profit corporate entity.
