Jill Wilson was appointed as the replacement for Zach Weinberg on February 19, 2025, due to Zach being ineligible for the role when he accepted a head coaching position at Evansville University. In the fall of 2025, Jill was elected to her first full term on the board with an effective date of January 1, 2026.
This board seat is charged with leading the AVCA Assistant Coaches Committee. Jill’s goals for her term include:
To support the initiatives of the community’s assistant coaches
To help this segment of coaches grow as professionals and as practitioners of volleyball
Foster an environment for open dialogue about serving the sport, student-athletes, their programs, and their institutions in the role of assistant coach
To openly discuss the coaching profession as it relates to coaching theory, advocacy, and legislative issues
To promote the values of AVCA membership to assistant coaches and support staff across the volleyball ecosystem
