Award Categories
AVCA member coach committees annually select AVCA All-Americans for each women’s and men’s collegiate division, collegiate beach, junior beach, and girl’s and boy’s high school.
AVCA High School All-America Teams honor girls and boys athletes in their senior season. To be eligible for consideration, athletes must be nominated for the All-America Watch list. Additionally, high school senior student-athletes who excel on and off the court are eligible for the Best and Brightest Award, if they meet the GPA requirements and play in 50% of their varsity team’s sets during their senior season.
Recognition Opportunities:
Underclassmen high school athletes can receive recognition from the AVCA by appearing on the High Risers (boys) or Phenom (girls) watch lists. Additionally, athletes on the Phenom list are invited to register for the AVCA Phenom College Preparatory Program and talent showcase that takes place annually in December at the AVCA Convention.

Coach committees annually select AVCA Region Coaches of the Year, Players of the Year and All-Region teams for men’s and women’s collegiate divisions and girl’s high school.
AVCA Coaches of the Year demonstrate the very best our sport has to offer as chosen by a committee of their peers for each level.

AVCA Players of the Year and Beach Pair of the Year demonstrate the very best our sport has to offer as chosen by a committee of head coaches for each collegiate women’s, men’s and beach division.

An AVCA National Player of the Week is named for the different NCAA Divisions in court volleyball during both the men's and women's season, and a women's Beach Pair of the Week is selected in season. The MaxPreps/AVCA National Players of the Week honor high school girls and boys from numerous states/regions throughout the volleyball season.

The American Volleyball Coaches Association Hall of Fame honors coaches, educators, administrators, organizations, and volleyball legends who have made significant contributions to the sport across their careers.
The AVCA Club Awards program honors deserving Coaches and Club Directors of the Year from the youth/club volleyball community, including girl’s, boy’s, and beach programs at all age levels. The AVCA Winners Circle Club recognizes outstanding club teams with a 70% or higher season winning percentage and national competition.
AVCA Thirty Under 30 Awards honor up-and-coming volleyball coaching talent at all levels of the sport, in four different categories: At-Large (all coaches at any level/division), Beach, Club, and High School. AVCA Thirty Over 30 recognizes coaches with 30 years or more of AVCA membership and those who have been coaching volleyball for at least 30 years.

The AVCA Victory Club Awards honors all Collegiate or High School AVCA member head coaches who have earned a milestone career win total (increments of 100 matches) at their current level/division of coaching. Applicants receive a plaque or certificate and are recognized at Convention.
Thanks to scholarship funds supplied by AVCA member coaches, the Coaches 4 Coaches and Student-Athlete Demonstrator programs offers aspiring coaches the opportunity to attend the AVCA Convention.
The AVCA Diversity Awards program fosters an inclusive community, engages aspiring coaches at all levels as leaders in the sport of volleyball, and assists them with advancing their careers.

Student-Athlete Demonstrator
Top Flight awards recognizes excellence in collegiate beach volleyball from all over the country and across all flights. Eligible pairs must compete in at least 15 matches together at a specific flight number and win at least 75% of their matches—regardless of the overall result of the dual.
The AVCA Grant Burger Media Award is an honor intended to recognize members of the media who have been involved in the advancement of the sport of volleyball through consistent coverage in all mediums. Categories include Sports Information Directors, Broadcast, Social Media, Student Reporters, and regional/conference honorees.
The AVCA and US Marine Corps. annually recognize a volleyball coach and athlete who overcame a significant obstacle with the USMC Battles Won Award. AVCA and corporate partner Sports Imports present the Courage Award to recognize a member of the volleyball community who in the face of hardship and adversity displays great courage and determination. The AVCA Voting Community Award encourages participation in the democratic process, and awards teams who had 100% of their eligible student-athletes and staff vote in national elections.
