AVCA Boys, Men’s & Beach Officiation Appreciation Week Coming March 23 – April 7

This period is set aside to make sure our officials know they are part of the sport. As coaches, you are the leaders; student-athletes, parents, and fans will follow your example to ensure we treat our officials in a manner befitting their role in helping boys, men’s and beach volleyball become one of the United States most popular sports. NCAA Division III Week: April 1-7

Get ready to celebrate Division III! During the week, every Division III school and conference is encouraged to conduct an outreach activity in: academic accomplishment; athletic experience; or leadership/community service/campus involvement. Click here for resources.

Nominations for the 2024 AVCA Hall of Fame are now being accepted. Submit to bradley.wilson@avca.org by May 31. Please help in determining who will be the next group of volleyball coaches and administrators to be inducted at the 2024 AVCA Convention in Louisiville, Kentucky.

Apply to Present at the 2024 AVCA Convention! The AVCA is inviting members and industry professionals to submit a proposal to be considered as a speaker for on-court, beach or classroom presentations. Applications will be accepted through May 1, 2024. The convention will be held December 18-21 in Louisville, KY. Don’t miss this opportunity to share your expertise with volleyball coaches from across the country!

The AVCA Match Point Mentoring Program is designed exclusively for volleyball coaches at all levels of expertise. Our program centers on creating mentoring trios where these coaches serve as both mentors and mentees to create a collaborative learning experience. Applications for the 2024-2025 program will close April 30, and Trios will be announced in Mid-June.

Bridgewater College [DIII] is pleased to announce the addition of men’s volleyball. The new team will begin competition in the 2025-26 academic year, following the hiring of the program’s first head coach. The decision coincides with the Old Dominion Athletic Conference announcement that men’s volleyball will become the league’s 26th sponsored sport beginning in the 2024-25 season.

Omaha Announced as Location for Inaugural Pro Volleyball Federation Championship The semifinals on May 15 and title match on May 18 will take place at the CHI Health Center and be broadcast on CBS Sports Network. The home of the Omaha Supernovas has already established the attendance standard for professional volleyball in America, with four of the top five U.S. attendance records coming this season.

USA Volleyball has announced the coaches, support staff, and schedule for 2024 U.S. women‘s and men’s age-group national teams. Each NORCECA competition will serve as a qualifier for the 2025 FIVB World Championship in that respective age group. Additionally, USA Volleyball’s National Team Development Program (NTDP) has confirmed training blocks and coaching staffs for each continental championship and the Collegiate National Team program.
