The 2024 AVCA Convention, which takes place Dec. 18–22, in Louisville, Kentucky, is where you can enjoy over 100 court and classroom education sessions, network with other coaches, and explore the world’s largest volleyball-specific exhibit show. Whether you are searching for a new job, want to continue your professional development, connect with your friends, or go to the NCAA championship matches, there are many reasons to attend!
Pro Volleyball Federation has announced their 2025 schedule. The second season will begin with seven matches the weekend of January 9-12. The league-wide opener will be showcased on Thursday, January 9 as San Diego travels to Orlando.
The 2024 Athletes Unlimited Pro Volleyball season wrapped up on Monday night. Recognized were the 2024 All-Position Team, the 2024 Champion, Defensive Player of the Year, Teammate of the Year, and Middle Blocker of the Year Awards. All season matches will be added to the Athletes Unlimited YouTube channel. A fifth season for 2025 has been announced.
The NJCAA has announced the 2024 class that will be inducted into its Volleyball Coaches Association Hall of Fame. This year’s honorees include two coaches, Mary Young and Kiko Benoit, and student-athlete Jill Hoeck.
Tokyo Olympic beach volleyball gold medalist Alix Klineman announced she is retiring from the sport, about three weeks after her “A-Team” partner April Ross said she is moving on. They will play their final event together at the AVP League championship in Carson, California.

Northwestern Volleyball welcomed the largest crowd in program history on Sunday, with 6,003 fans packing Welsh-Ryan Arena to watch the match vs. Nebraska.
The Ohio volleyball team won a five-set battle and upset Central Michigan 3-2 in front of a record-breaking crowd on Saturday, Nov. 2.

The AVCA Boys Talent Showcase is a recruiting event designed to provide high school boys the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of the collegiate coaches attending the AVCA Convention. The 2024 AVCA Boys Showcase will take place at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday, December 21, and the optional add-on AVCA Boys Showcase Clinic is the evening of Friday, December 20.
The interim tag has been removed from Minot State coach Alex Courtney, who is now the full-time head coach for the Beaver volleyball program.
