Regent University to Add Men’s Volleyball Team
Regent University (NCCAA) has announced the addition of men’s volleyball beginning in the 2024–25 season. Katelyn Totherow, current women’s volleyball head coach, will also lead the men’s program. The addition of the program is in line with the university’s pursuit of NCAA Division III membership.
NAIA Men’s Volleyball Coaches’ Top 15 Poll – Preseason
Vanguard (Calif.), the 2023 defending champions, land the No. 1 spot in the preseason edition of the Coaches’ Top 15 Rating. This is the fourth time that the Lions have been ranked No. 1. Many teams landed similarly to how they finished at the national championship in 2023 while Jamestown (N.D.) moved into the Top 15 after receiving votes in the final regular-season poll in the previous season.

First Point Volleyball and “Daddy Haine” Tournament Donate to Maui High School
To aid those affected by the August 2023 catastrophic fires in Maui, the First Point Volleyball Foundation and the annual “Daddy Haine” Beach Volleyball tournament are donating to Lahainaluna High School.
The North Carolina boys volleyball 2024 season kicks off March 1. Boys volleyball is a club sport in North Carolina. To learn more about starting a boys volleyball team at your NC school, fill out this short questionnaire or email the NC Boys HS Volleyball.
100 Indiana Boys Volleyball Teams and Counting
The Indiana Boys Volleyball Coaches Association (IBVCA) proudly confirmed 100 Boys Volleyball Teams on January 17, marking a mile in growth as boys volleyball looks to the Indiana High School Athletic Association for consideration as a varsity state tournament sport. Saturday, March 9, begins the first contest of the 2024 season. Learn more.
Massachusetts Boys Volleyball Preseason Rankings Released
No. 1 Needham and No. 2 Milford lead the Massachusetts Boys High School Volleyball Preseason Rankings released January 17. Less than two months remain until the boys season is underway with the 2024 season starting Monday, March 18.

VolleyballMag.com: Boys HS Beach Volleyball Continues Growth in San Diego, Orange County, LA
In the past 10 years, Southern California high school coaches have formed high school club beach volleyball leagues that run from six to eight weeks in the fall.
With high school girls beach volleyball becoming a CIF sport, there is hope the boys will become a sanctioned sport.
In San Diego, Orange Country and Los Angeles, club boys high school leagues and tournaments have been making the case. This report highlights some of those results.
To join the Men’s Collegiate Beach Volleyball Alliance an active member coach of the AVCA must complete the registration information. The nominating coach serves as the official representative for all men’s collegiate beach activities at the college.

AVCA Boys All-America and High Risers Watch List Nominations Now Accepted
The AVCA is now accepting nominations for the 2024 AVCA Boys Watch Lists: Senior athletes will be added to AVCA Boys High School All-America Watch List. Non-senior high school athletes will be featured on the AVCA High Risers List. Please nominate all of your deserving athletes to ensure they are recognized and we bring more attention to the sport!
AVCA Boys, Men’s & Beach Officiation Appreciation Week Coming March 23 – April 7
The 2nd Annual American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Boys, Men’s & Beach Volleyball Officials Appreciation Week is March 23 – April 7, 2024. This period is set aside to make sure our officials know they are part of the sport. As coaches, you are the leaders; student-athletes, parents, and fans will follow your example to ensure we treat our officials in a manner befitting their role in helping boys, men’s and beach volleyball become one of the United States most popular sports.
Eligible nominees must be 30 years old or younger as of December 31, 2023 [born 1993 or later], active AVCA members, and currently coaching volleyball in the selected category. Nominations close March 1, 2024. Questions? Contact alice.rogers@avca.org.
VBTV: Max Holt back with Team USA “I want to go out with a bang”
For 20 months, it looked like the Tokyo Olympics, held in 2021, would be Max Holt’s swan song with the American national team.
An integral member of the squad for more than a decade since his debut in 2010, the veteran middle blocker decided to step away after the team’s disappointing tenth-place finish in the Japanese capital.
Holt continued to play at a high level for his club teams and, after some calls from assistant coach Matt Fuerbringer, he decided to wear the national team jersey again in the 2023 season.
The Nichols College Division of Athletics and Vice President and Director of Athletics Jack Hayes, have announced the hiring of Andre Foster as the new head men’s and women’s volleyball coach
Olivet Nazarene University Interim Director of Athletics Justin Glenn announced Tuesday the hiring of Dillon Dahl as the interim head men’s volleyball coach, effective immediately.
