Taming the Intangibles

When asked about what makes a successful volleyball player, coaches will agree on many of the on-court skills and abilities required. Those antecedents to success are studied and discussed widely in the sport of volleyball. Technique also gets its own focus of study. But, non-physical attributes also contribute to athletic performance. This seminar takes a deep-dive into what sport and workplace literature say about the intangibles most important to volleyball success. Objectives: What are the most important intangibles for volleyball success? What does the current literature say about them? How can we train or select for them?
