The U.S. Men’s National Team went five sets with world No. 1 Poland before falling during a pre-Olympic friendly match on Sunday in Gdansk, Poland. It was the last competitive match for the U.S. Men before they open the Olympic Games against Argentina at noon PT on July 27.

All six of the 2023-24 NCAA volleyball champion teams were in Washington, D.C., Monday on NCAA Sports Day. Those teams—Texas (DI W), Cal State LA (DII W), Juniata (DIII W), UCLA (NC M), Cal Lutheran (DIII M), and USC Beach—visited the White House as part of a celebration recognizing all of this year’s NCAA champions.
Tina Graudina named Latvia’s flag bearer at Paris 2024 opening ceremony. In addition to her Olympic record, Graudina was a 4-time Beach Volleyball AVCA All American at USC and a 2022 AVCA Pair of the Year athlete (with Hailey Harward).
The U.S. Men’s National Team earned a silver medal at the 2024 NORCECA Pan American Cup after dropping an epic match to Canada, 3-1 in Sunday’s final in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
The silver medal marked the best U.S. finish since also taking silver at the 2014 Pan Am Cup. Canada repeated as gold medalists.
Registration is open for the 2024 Men’s Beach Collegiate Challenge on Sept. 13-15 at Stevenson University. Every participating athlete has the opportunity to be scouted through the Beach National Team Development Scouting Program.
USA Volleyball Announces 2024 Girls Indoor NTDP Summer Training SeriesRosters More than 150 girls volleyball athletes from 27 states will work with top coaches at the National Team Development Program Girls Indoor Summer Training Series.
2024 USMC/AVCA Battles Won Award
The AVCA and US Marine Corps are looking to recognize a volleyball coach and athlete who overcame a significant obstacle during the past year. The nature of this obstacle can be physical, mental, or a combination of both. The selected winners will be provided round trip travel to the AVCA Convention this December
in Louisville, Kentucky to be recognized and celebrated at the event. Nominations will be kept private and not shared until winners are selected and permission has been granted to share. AVCA Staff will select the winners. Nominations are due to be submitted by Friday, August 9. Winners will be announced this fall. If you have any questions, please contact Brad Wilson.
Nominate your top high school athletes for a chance to be recognized when the Watch Lists are released in August. Uncommitted athletes on watch lists will also be invited to attend the AVCA Phenom College Prep Program December 19-21, 2024, in Louisville, KY.
