Collegiate Volleyball
DI Board of Directors formally adopts changes to NCAA rules, to implement the court-approved House settlement The changes — which codify roster limits, including legislated exceptions for current student-athletes whose roster spots would have been impacted by those limits — are effective July 1. Moving forward, NCAA rules for Division I programs will no longer include sport-specific scholarship limits. Instead, schools in the defendant conferences and others that opt in to the settlement rules will have roster limits, and schools will have the option to offer scholarships to any and all of those student-athletes. Two-time AVCA Division III Player of the Year and four-time AVCA All-American Olivia Foley, a volleyball standout from Juniata College, has been named the Division III Honda Athlete of the Year.

Nominate for the 2025 AVCA Phenom Watch List and AVCA All-America Watch List! The Phenom Watch List is open to (girls) underclassmen in the Fall of 2025, (players with a 2027, 2028, or 2029 high school grad year). The AVCA All-America Watch List is open to Seniors in the Fall of 2025 (players with a 2026 high school grad year).

The NCAA is requesting applications from interested individuals to serve as the NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball National Coordinator of Officials. The position is the NCAA’s commitment to improving the overall quality and consistency of officiating throughout collegiate volleyball. The coordinator assists the NCAA volleyball committee in the identification, selection and evaluation of officials (referees and line judges) for the NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball Championship based on recommendations from the Division III Women’s Volleyball Committee, regional advisory committees, coaches and conference coordinators of officials. Gabrielle Harris has been named the Interim Head Volleyball Coach at Alcorn State University for the 2025 season.
NCAA Division II
Southwest Baptist University announces Paityn Walker as Head Beach Volleyball Coach.
NCAA Division III
Thiel College has announced the promotion of Eric Visgitis to Head Women’s Volleyball Coach, with his twin brother, Luke Visgitis, joining the staff as Associate Head Coach.
Thiel College also welcomes Henry Gorton as Head Men’s Volleyball Coach.
Nichols College announced Caryn Sibiskie as Head Coach of the Women’s Volleyball Program.
Moravian University has selected Amable Martinez as Head Women’s Volleyball Coach.
NAIA
Spartanburg Methodist College is excited to announce the hiring of Bryan Buckius as the first head coach of the new men’s volleyball program.
The Brewton-Parker Barons are adding Beach Volleyball. The inaugural head coach for the program will be Marco Macias, who will also serve as the Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coach.
Arizona Christian University announces Tiger Shelton as the new Head Coach of the Firestorm Women’s Volleyball Program.
