Matt Ulmer was appointed to the AVCA Board of Directors in March 2024 per a recommendation from AVCA Board President, Kirsten Bernthal Booth. This board seat is charged with leading the DI Women’s All-America Committee and working with the AVCA’s awards staff to set policies for all awards programs. Matt’s goals for his term include:
Strategically navigate potential changes in the regional voting structure.
Pursue additional data points that can help identify the impact a student-athlete has on their team’s outcomes.
Increased voter participation in the regional ballots.
Exploring additional opportunities for award winner recognition that highlight our sport.
