Tara McGuire is the Membership and Communications Specialist at the American Volleyball Coaches Association. She oversees the Affiliations Newsletter, Affiliate Partner State Awards, AVCA Auction, AVCA Business Exchange, membership growth initiatives and high school membership; coordinates and facilitates high school clinics for AVCA Signature Affiliate Partners; and serves as the liaison to the High School Affiliate Partner Program, NAIA Head Coaches Committee, and Regional Affiliate Partner Program Education.

Prior to the AVCA, Tara spent more than 15-years in communications, project management and marketing roles with non-profit organizations in the behavioral health and sports management fields.  Tara earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree in business administration and marketing from Transylvania University, where she played Varsity Tennis.

In addition to tennis, Tara is a distance runner having completed six marathons and over 25 half marathons. She also enjoys gardening, and spending time with her labradoodle pups.
